My love for hockey romances will never die. And this is a very good addition to my shelf of hockey romances. There is also a lot of One Tree Hill quotes throughout this book, and since I also love OTH this was a very nice addition.

The fake dating trope is also a fave of mine when used well, and I loved the fake dating aspect in this story. When the lines between faking it and feeling something more starts to blur, it just hits differently. Drake is such a sweet and wonderful guy, and his love and protection of Angie is amazing. Their first meeting is not the best, but when they start getting to know each other, they develop a sweet and deep friendship, which eventually leads to more.

This is a funny, sweet and spicy romance. It is an easy read with low angst, and I was just happy while reading. It still manages to pull out some emotions and include well-developed and layered characters. The chemistry between Angie and Drake is off the charts, and Drake’s dirty mouth!

3.5 ⭐️ I enjoyed this book but It sadly wasn’t what I hoped it would be! I loved the first book in this series and was super excited to continue this series onward.

Sadly I didn’t connect with these characters or the book. This made it alot less enjoyable for me to read compared to the first book. I had a good time getting through it but that was about it. It was an easy and enjoyable read!

There are a couple things in the book that didn’t sit well with me; The time jump, it didn’t made any sense to me and also kinda sad because it was such a big difference. Next to that I also felt like some things were so alike between the characters that it didn’t feel realistic; how would they be able to know what the other one is thinking? It weirded me out sometimes.

Overall I think it’s still a really enjoyable book and it’s a good and easy read for someone who enjoys romance books!

A fake dating, hockey romance, what is not to love? This was a great follow up book to Sin Bin. I enjoyed the new characters and the call back to ones we already know. Excited to see where the series keeps going. All and all a great hockey romance read!

if you enjoy fake dating and hockey romances you need to add this to your tbr! i liked angie and drake a lot! their banter and dynamic was so fun to read! i especially loved the times they spent binging one tree hill. what i would give to be a fly on the wall to watch it with them

3.8⭐️ This book was so much better than the first! Well better than the second half of the first. I still think it’s kind of weird that there are lines like, I’m 27. How am I not married with kids yet. Like how old is this author? It’s a very Highschool mentality.
