3.75+. I’m conflicted about this book. The story was heart-wrenching and powerful. My heart hurt for Demon. The portrayal of poverty and foster care were real and powerful. But the profanity, while likely very realistic, was A LOT for me, and I’m not exactly sure how I feel about the ending.
