This was a quick easy read. It seems like it is similar to Abbi Glines other books - innocent girl, jealous boy, things happen, rinse repeat.

The relationship between Henley and Saul is pretty spicy, and they definitely have chemistry, but I just felt that Saul was a bit of a jerk. I wish this book went more in depth to the relationships. Looking more at Saul, why is he the way he is? Seriously, if a guy wouldn't let me hang around with any other guys, that would be a giant red flag for me. There were so many different plot ideas that were just "lightly dropped" but next explored to the fullest extent. I think the book would have been better with more exploration of single issues.

The best part of the book was the list that Helney's gran left her to do. I thought it was an interesting way to get the story to unfold.

This is the first book I've read that dealt with the pandemic. I'm sure it won't be the last. Thank you for making Henley story of her journey to complete her Grans list so engaging. She met so many people along the way and the unexpected twists and turns make you laugh and cry. And the added benefit of the sexy guys is always welcome. Especially broody somewhat broken Saul.

Pretty good

Looking for something to break up this funk I’ve been in, and a small town romance almost always does the trick.
This was a little more angsty than I expected, but in a good way. I was thoroughly committed to Gran’s list and all the places that it took Henley, including the connections she found and the relationships she built.
A good read.

This book is PERFECTION! Abbi Glines has simply outdone herself with this one once again. This gives off all of the Rosemary Beach vibes! For me, it is without a question a top 2021 read!

Lyrics of a Small Town was full of angst, steam, happiness, and even some tears. This book felt so real and raw for all the characters! Abbi takes you on a journey that feels like a rollercoaster of emotions. Henley gets to meet new people in this small town that has a big impact on her. She has to complete a list for her grandma that may not be all what it seems. One person Henley meets that changes her life is Saul. He is for sure the broody, dark, and reserved guy that she doesn’t expect. Abbi Glines has this wonderful writing ability that when she creates any of her characters, you immediately fall in love with them. I love this book with all my heart!

I am so looking forward to more in this world! I need books for ALL of the characters! I will definitely be buying any and all for this world. If you’re a fan of Rosemary Beach then this is a book for you! If your are a fan of Abbi Glines, don’t miss this one. If you haven’t read either, give this book a try! It is perfect place to start to become a fan!!

I tried so hard. So hard. I went back 3 times to try to finish this book.

I love Abbi Glines, I’ve read multiple of her books. This one fell so flat. It was so robotic and emotion less. There was so much just “this is that. Here is this. I am feeling this. I am seeing this.” So much telling and not much describing and emotion inducing. I did not feel the romance between the characters at all.

I really wish this was better because the story line is so intriguing. But it’s so flat.

I didn't love or hate this book. It was just kind of blah to me. I liked how Henley's grandmother sent her on a little scavenger hunt of sorts after her death (from Covid-19). I didn't quite get what Henley liked about Saul other than his looks based on his actions. Their relationship kind of came out of nowhere midway through the book. I guess it was a fun listen.
