I’m not sure what I expected going into this book, but I thought it was very well done. I always like multiple POVs and timelines. I thought I liked Saffy’s POV the best but in the end, it was Ansel. The book heavily explores nature vs nurture and does so in a contemplative manner.

super absorbed at the beginning of the book but lost interest as the book went on. i thought it was a super interesting choice to tell this story through the three povs of the women.

Interesting story and the attempt to approach the question of good and evil. Also great with the different storylines and the interweaving of time periods. I liked the differentiated view of crime and punishment.

I didn’t mind this, it felt like it went on a bit too long. I really enjoyed how my thoughts on Ansel changed throughout the book. This is definitely a book that would be best read by men who don’t understand women.
