4.5. Oh man I love this story so so so much. I’m so happy there’s going to be more. ☺️
3.5/5 stars
a sweet little surprise addition to a series that i really enjoy. this was the perfect book to read in december because it's set at christmastime and just exudes the holiday spirit. it did feel a little tacked on (like it wasn't totally necessary). but i think the author did that because she's going to write at least one companion to the series and so she needed to set that up. either way, i'm excited to read more from these characters in any later installments the author may write for the series!

This was the perfect ending to the Simple Wild trilogy, and maybe my favorite of the three books (even though this was a novella). It was perfect to be back in Trapper’s Crossing with Jonah and Calla and the whole crew for the holidays. This lovey little tale had a few nice surprises, and I am excited to read that we aren’t done with Trapper’s Crossing just yet (even if Calla and Jonah’s story won’t be the main focus now). A lovely holiday read.
