This first Ruth Galloway was available on BorrowBox (library) and I couldn’t resist trying it. I downloaded the audiobook and proceeded to whizz through it. It turned out to be a very easy and entertaining read, following the title character.

Instead of using the world of literature as she had done in both [b:The Stranger Diaries|40796097|The Stranger Diaries (Harbinder Kaur #1)|Elly Griffiths|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1532738769l/40796097._SY75_.jpg|58794499] and [b:The Postscript Murders|49012512|The Postscript Murders (Harbinder Kaur #2)|Elly Griffiths|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1601897541l/49012512._SY75_.jpg|74433760], we are introduced here to archeology, a topic I’ve always been interested in.

The fat phobia is ridiculous.  And is not fat.  And I read that the cat died.  Not for me

It became too predictable half way through because there was only one person who could realistically be the one who did it. It's also a little too casual about cheating, affairs and getting the affair pregnant. I hope the next books in the series are less soapy and more focused on the mystery.
