I'm a great fan of GRRM. He was the author who finally convinced me to start writing my own novels. There's nothing wrong with this little story--it's just that it's very basic and simple, as if it were a bedtime tale told to small children. Nothing much in it appealed to me.
3.5 stars. It was sweet and cute, but the ending was sad and I didn't like it very much. If the ending had been different I would likely have given it a higher rating.

I would rate this 5/5, I really enjoyed it. It was simple, and not complex. I really enjoyed it, but you have to keep in mind that this book is made for children/teens. Yes, it does take place in the same universe as "A Song of Ice and Fire" but it's not like that series. It's a story of it's own. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes dragons, or who is looking for a light read.
The story is about a child named Adara, is a winter child. But not like normal kids who are born during winter, she has winter within her. Her skin is naturally cold, she doesn't get chilled during the winter season, and she doesn't laugh or cry like other children. She's obviously special. But as we read about Adara, we also read about her special connection she has with the ever so rare Ice Dragon.

4⭐️ an enchanting, fairytale-like story which was quite sad in the end. Enjoyed and would likely re-read in the future.
Oh, George. Even in a children's book, you can't abide a happily ever after.
It's good, but melancholy and alludes to the horrors of war. I'm not sure it's suitable for children. For ASOIAF fans, there's a scene kinda like the innkeeper's daughter scene. It's not directly spelled out, but it's definitely hinted at.

This is a really interesting short story about a girl and her Ice Dragon. I can't really say much about the plot without giving anything away due to the length of this book but I enjoyed it a lot. The illustrations are great and I liked having them alongside the story. I thought the dragons were really interesting and just the ice creatures in general were intriguing. I want to know more! The way the ice animals work has really captured my imagination, it's a really interesting idea.
I think this will stick with me for a while because it hits so much harder than I was expecting it to. The way this story ends will leave you feeling sad but hopeful. Definitely recommend this one!

Take a fairy tale, add dragons and put some magical illustrations to it and you have the book. I LOVED IT. It was a simple short story, and it cought me immediately.
I'm in love with George RR Martin's writing since I read A Song of Ice and Fire, and he prooves himself again.
The story was sweet. It was almost written like a children's book, but it had something harsh that amazed me.
Adara, the main character, was totally cute and I felt very protective for her. Nevertheless, I have to critizise that she was a bit too mature for a 4-7 year old.
The end was sad and happy at the same time and almost made me tear up. I would recommend this book for a short read anytime.
