the first half of this book was great. enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and a dash of fake dating. i was all in. if the entire book was only that first half i would’ve given it 5 stars clean

then i quickly got bored after the road trip ended. i wanted more interactions with them and it felt like the book was more focused on other things and not them. plus it felt like scenarios were thrown in there to keep them apart in the name of ✨drama✨. that would’ve been fine but it was all wasted on me cause i didn’t care🥴. the “will they, won’t they?” went on for too long and i was itching for them to get back together like we all knew they would

It was the perfect spicy, fluffy heartfelt book. Jolene was so much more than the free spirit and adrift person she thought she was. And Jason was the perfect grounding character for her growth while she brought him to life.

This was a really cute short read following Jason & Jolene. I love their slight enemies to friends romance. To set expectations, only the first 20% of the book were the couple on the rode the rest is them living their regular lives. If you’re looking for a quick contemporary romance with some friends w/ benefits story line I would highly recommend checking this one out.
