Can we all just agree that we are in love with Jason? Yes? Great.
This book had one of my favourite tropes ever, one bed. And it was done beautifully. Also this is a enemies to friends with benefits to lovers (i also love friends with benefist plots).
Another thing that i loved and haven't seen done before is that beafore the MCs had sex for the first time, they showed each other their latest STI results.
All in all, this is a short, sweet, funny rom-com i would definitely recommend.

Review for Along for the Ride by Mimi Grace
Writing Quality 4.5/5
This was a simple and quick read. I enjoyed that I could pick it up whenever and easily slip into the story Mimi Grace created. She is a great romance author and I enjoyed the little tidbits of humour throughout that made me laugh out loud. The few s*xually explicit scenes fit naturally in the storyline and didn’t contain any odd or out of place euphemisms that seem to be a staple in most romance novels and normally make me steer clear of the genre.
Characters and Characterization 4.5/5
The characters were surprisingly well rounded and I could identify with Jason in some ways of his life. I enjoyed reading from both Jolene and Jason’s POVs and watching them develop feelings to one another and realizing they aren’t who they used to be. We did lose some side characters for a bit that I thought would be more present in the story but they eventually made an appearance again. Jolene was such a positive female character in various aspects.
Overall Story 4/5
I really enjoyed the first quarter of the book. It contained some great tropes: car breaking down so they have to spend more time together, only one bed, fake-dating, enemies-to-lovers. There was a lot of conveniently placed plot devices to further the story and relationship but is that not what romance novels are for? The rest of the novel contains the friends-with-benefits trope which obviously never works out the way the characters hope. Some miscommunication trope but was resolved quickly.
Post-reading story 4/5
The ending was satisfying and expected. I finished reading with a feeling of content. I was happy for the characters but it seemed rushed at the end.
Final Rating 4.5/5
Cute Romantic-Comedy.
Spice level: Does contain several s*x scenes.
Author includes brief content notes.
Graphic: Sexual content
Minor: Death of parent
Verbally pushy person interested in heroine (not the hero)
Hit and Miss
I wasn’t sure how to articulate my thoughts on this book until I read another review that captured my reaction. The first half of the book was great. It was fun and flirty. The second half fell flat for me. It started to feel long-winded and a little boring. Overall, it was a decent read, but I expected it to be better.

very fun and I'd def read more from this author! I did wish it were more road trip, though -- the road trip only covers the first third of the book, and I wished it had been the whole damn thing.

Oh this book was so good. I’m emotional. Jolene is such an amazing character and Jason was so sweet. You see how good this book was? I actually complimented a male love interest. Definitely recommend...
