This book was such a fun read!! Got to buddy read it with a friend and neither of us could stop at our weekly chapter goal because it had us hooked. The chemistry between the romantic leads is so palpable and I loved the slow progression of affection for each other. I loved how they got to interact with each others' families and friends and how that informed their opinions of each other. The smut was also pretty good lol

First of all, I love the cover and the representation in this book! As a black woman, I get so excited to feel represented by a black woman being the MC. As other reviews have stated, I LOVED the road trip portion of the book. I thought the forced proximity trope, the one bed/one hotel room trope, and enemies to lovers worked well here.
I wished it went on much longer, and I expected it to be longer just based off the cover, title, and the synopsis. The 2nd half of the book features their lives after the trip is over and how their relationship evolves after the trip. I felt like there were a lot of side characters. I would have liked to see less side characters with each character having more depth. I wouldn’t have minded the book being a little longer with a little more added depth to the side characters.
Overall, I enjoyed this book a lot and I’d recommend it to a friend! It was a fun and east steamy romance to read, and I’ll be looking into other works from this author!
