relatively lighthearted book, enjoyed the author’s humour that made it easier to read

I've been following Caitlin Doughty on Youtube for a while, so I was really excited to finally read one of her books. I listened to it as an audiobook, which I felt really worked for the way the book was organized. It felt a bit like listening to a podcast or a bunch of her videos all at once.

A little bit of funny, a whole bunch of history

I once applied for a job at a funeral home, which should tell you the level of “death” I feel comfortable with (which is, quite a little bit). Having a sense of humor and healthy curiosity is likely why — and why I read this book. Written in a question-and-answer format, I found myself scanning over quite a bit of the historical parts, as that does not quite capture my attention. It is a well-written book, but the black and white drawings of people and skeletons were not my cup of tea. So to speak.

que cool es leer cosas que te hacen reír bien duro y a la vez te enseñan y te inspiran curiosidad.

It was funny, lighthearted and informative. Thank you Caitlin for entertaining me while taking away all the fears of death. Highly recommend.

A re-read, or listen, as I went for the audiobook this time. I really like Caitlin's voice and the way she narrates. The book was already one of my favorites when I read it the first time. Heavy subject, handled with care, humor and love. Couldn't ask for more.
