LOVED IT! It was an amazing educational read, and yes I know it was meant for kids, but it works for curious adults (morbid adults) like me, I really liked how it was written and honestly, I had asked myself some of those questions too, (Except the one about the smell of dead people, because I unfortunately know the answer to that).

I love when a non-fiction book is raw about the subject matter and doesn’t shy away from being honest, and this book is very honest without being extremely weird (as is for kids), and it’s also very respectful about death and what it comes with it. I really, really enjoyed.

I recommend listening to the author read the audiobook! Insightful, funny, and super educational.

This book is precious and definitely deserves the choice award.

The questions are all something we've all (well, at least me) have thought about from time to time and the answers provided are serious, but presented in a funny and witty way, without shying away from any of harsh realities of the afterlife. Everything is also well researched - every story has at least five references at the end of the book.

What tipped this over to the five star mark for me, is the fact that this book is structured in an extremely well balanced manner. All of the question-answers are between 3 and 6 pages long, which makes for both a great quick read when you have a couple of minutes to burn, and also do well with keeping your attention with the quick change of pace.

Never in my life would I have thought that it could be so much fun and entertaining to learn about corpses.
I found myself laughing at some of the gruesome details of what goes on in funeral homes, and I felt relieved in a way to get some perspective on things I'd always pushed under the rug, as if I'd just finished a face-to-face and friendly conversation with the author in a cosy cafe.
I wish I had read this book much earlier when I was a child.

Perfection! This book is packed full of funny, weird, and interesting questions and answers about what happens to your body after death. Like what would happen if you died on a plane or what happens when a cemetery or city runs out of burial space. Plus much more. I hope Doughty comes out with even more question/answer books in the future.

Fun, morbid, easy to read, cute drawings -- what's not to like?

I’ve loved Doughty since I read her first book, and was so excited to see she had a new one out. Her first was interesting and engaging, her second was incredibly informative, and this one is fascinating. I love that it’s written based off questions from children, and I suppose it could be read by children, but I don’t know if it’s being marketed that way. The questions are interesting, though - surely we’ve all wondered about some of them at one point or another. Doughty’s answers are well-researched but also understandable even without extensive knowledge of death science. She also displays her excellent sense of humor in pretty much every answer. I want to be her friend. Also, the illustrations are AMAZING.

This is the kind of information everyone needs to be a good conversationalist at parties.

Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs? is a funny, witty, and educational glimpse into the weird parts of death. Caitlin Doughty has created a fun experience for young deathlings, while also being just as entertaining for adults with an interest in the macabre. As a British fan, it gave me nostalgic hints of being a little girl reading Horrible Histories. A must read for any fan of the Order of the Good Death.
