I’m all for weird monster romances, but moth genitalia was not my cup of tea. I liked the mothman character otherwise but the FMC seriously needs therapy for her lack of boundaries.

I thought that Morning Glory Milking Farm had little substance and that it couldn't get worse. Turns out I was so very wrong. This book, while again having some graphic smut (but not much of it) introduces lots of characters, context, and dialogue that essentially doesn't need to be there for a standalone book.

Once again, have I suffered through worse? Yuupp. Will I continue to read the Cambric Creek series? YUUUPPP. So far, these books are too entertaining not to continue through with them!

C.M. Nascosta’s books have always popped up here and there, and I’ve been curious to read her books. From previously reading, “Morning Glory Milking Farm”, I was curious to see what her stories entailed. When I saw this book, “Sweet Berries” was the next in this interconnected series, I figured, “why not?”. Again, never did I ever think I’d read a story about a mothman and a human woman…A MOTHMAN?! Like what???? Surprisingly though, aside from the intrigue, Grace and Merrick’s story also had a level of sweetness to it combined with their instant intimacy they formed early on. With an awkward, smart mothman scientist, and a human woman who worked on a farm, a bit of exhibitionism, voyeurism, and mostly smut, no plot, it was a fun and interesting read to say the least.

I’ve slowly but surely started to read more monster romance books and I gotta say it’s definitely a different kind of story compared to the other normal contemporary romances I’ve read. Sometimes I just want a fun, spicy smutty romance with no plot and that’s exactly what this series was about. This story followed, Grace who lived and worked in Cambric Creek and was just feeling a bit…lonely. A woman has needs to and one night when Grace was having her own time alone, she felt a sudden presence outside her window. Normally you would assume a woman like Grace would close her window and stop what she was doing…NOPE! Grace decided a little show was in order for her mysterious visitor, and from that point on it set the story in motion. Grace’s visitor ended up being, Merrick, a mothman scientist who recently moved to Cambric Creek and was the peeping Tom who watched Grace from outside her window. Contrary to the hot, steamy moment Merrick and Grace shared, Merrick was actually very shy, and awkward around Grace.

This was a no plot, high spice type of monster romance, and I surprisingly enjoyed it. I thought Merrick was an awkward sweetie who definitely loved to put all his attention on Grace whenever they were together especially in the bedroom. Grace found herself getting back out there, definitely took a ride on being adventurous and found himself getting down with a mothman. I’m not usually a fan of exhibitionism/ voyeurism, but the way it was written in this story was actually great and worked well in Grace and Merrick’s relationship. If you want a spicy story with no plot, but smut and at times cute moments, I say read this book as well as the previous book in this interconnected series. I’m quickly working my way through some of C.M. Nascosta’s other books and I’m enjoying the way each of the stories are quick, fun, and smutty! So far Merrick and Grace are probably my favorite couple from the series.
