I bought this book based on Felicia Day’s blurb. Princess Donut delivers, but I have some gripes. Firstly, the editing isn’t that great. Secondly, there are *a lot* of details that are boring and unnecessary for folks who don’t play RPGs. Lastly, and my biggest complaint, it’s very bro-y. Maybe all this is justified/used to higher purpose further along in the series, but at this point it just feels cringy.

I picked up the physical book but couldn't imagine enjoying it. Luckily I heard it was great on audio; I couldn't agree more. The voices took some getting used to, but I quickly became invested when Carl and Princess Donut started embracing the crawl. There were some unimaginable creatures and situations that I didn't see coming. If you get offended easily, I would not recommend. If you like a bit of fun and lots of chaos, you'll enjoy this book. (Again, audio was the way to go!)
