The banter is why I love enemies to lovers. It was great. LOVE Connor Crais, but I don't like Cindy Kay's voice - it's so breathy, it bothers my ears.

I am not a big enemies to lovers girlie but I do love when they are enemies because they have always been in love with each other. Cal + Nellie are enemies with benefits and I love how we are seeing so much into their backstory of their past. Cute read, definitely recommend esp if you like enemies to lovers!

Oh Cal! You stole the show.
I loved Cal (H) the football hero who everyone thinks they know but don't know anything about.
I liked the heroine Neille found her to be strong etc, etc, but she kind of annoyed me. She was def. outshined by her hero. Cal was swoon worthy. You don't see heros like him much in romance.
I was disappointed by the grand gesture of Nellie - I just couldn't seem to feel the love she had for Cal. That's kind of what ruined it. Even in the Epilogue her parents are out there hating on Cal 3 years on out - it just felt unworthy of the love Cal showed Neillie.

Quickie review:
2.5 stars. This was my least favorite book in the series. It had a much more serious, angsty vibe. There were very little happy times, just turmoil and hate. I didn't feel the love between the couple or connect to either character. I didn't really like Nellie and she came off as mean. But I still like this series and will continue it.
