Urghhh this book got me HARD in the feels.
This is the 4th book in the Bergman Brothers series and it almost exclusively takes places at the A-frame & adjacent cabin.
This book follows Axel & Rooney - Axel is unable to create any 'sellable' art and Rooney has had to take time off from college because of her IBD and they end up at the family A-frame at the same time, thanks to some sibling meddling.
It includes a marriage of convenience, diy, PETS, only one bed, sunshine x grump and candid talks about IBD, treatments, dietary restrictions, autism, family issues and more.
I related so hard to both of these characters & I love them so much.
Especially the intestinal issues that Rooney faces as they are so similar to so many things I have to deal with on a daily basis. So it was refreshing to see that representation, especially in a romance novel. And as always you can tell Chloe has done her research thoroughly!
Also Harry & Skugga have my heart š±š and I'm so excited for Ollie's book!
Moderate: Medical content and Sexual content

Next up I want to differentiate between what I liked about the book and what I disliked, minus the latter, because this book is simply flawless (my opinion).
āFor the hearts that love differently, and the hearts that love them for it.ā (Dedication)
āShe was hurting. And I didnāt want her to hurt anymore. I didnāt want her to hurt ever.ā (Chapter 4)
āHe's still wearing his ring. And the hand that wears it is splayed wide, like a fist he just unclenched and flexed.ā (Chapter 9; this is only here because of the Pride and Prejudice vibes)
āThe deeper you love, the deeper the risk of disappointment, and hurt, and loss. The more you care, the more pain you might face. And yet, I hope you wonāt always let that stop you. [ā¦] Fear of failure, fear of not living up to these standards you hold yourself to, which sound pretty damn high. Becauseā¦ well, have you ever considered that the depth of feeling for the subject is the reason youĀ“re the very best person to paint it?ā (Chapter 9)
āLike I said, I know not everybody wants romance, and thatās valid, I just donāt want you denying yourself if that desire is there.ā (Chapter 13)
āJust because you experience your emotions differently from other people, Axel, doesnāt mean that experience isnāt valid, or that someone canāt love you for it. With the right person, love is possible for any of us who want it.ā (Chapter 13)
