The book is trash, no doubt, but nostalgia, and Edward’s “Joe Goldberg” tendencies, made this a fun and hilarious read.
I’m giving it a second star because Jake Abel’s narration for the audiobook was superb and made the experience bearable.

1.5 Stars
Things I liked in this book:
- The backstories of the Cullens
- Alice
- Emmett (who knew he was such a great character)
- the hint at Demisexual representation perhaps?
Things I didn't like:
- the fact that this book made me want to stop reading forever...
- #angstyEdward was insufferable...
- This book was about 300 pages longer than it needed to be... Seriously... We could have just had a short story or novella about the backstories and I would have been here for it.
- rehashing the same events of Twilight from a different perspective wasn't interesting. It was boring.
-Why is this relationship romanticized so much? He's a literal creepy stalker with possessive and narcissistic tendencies.
-Stephenie Meyer really didn't do well trying to hide her racist tendencies.
-She's profiting off of the Quileute tribe and misrepresenting them.
In all seriousness, I think that if you have a personal history with or love for the original saga, you'll probably like this book. But I don't. I never loved the books so going into this there was no nostalgia factor. Because of that, I was honestly just so bored and I'm more than a little relieved to be moving on to the other books in my TBR.

It was really long winded. It was interesting to have an alternate POV for certain parts but overall, I think it could have been much shorter.
