Amo Jones nunca defrauda, no está mal como primer libro de saga, a ver cómo evoluciona esto….
I really wanted to like this book. When i read the summary, i was excited, but it just didnt really do it for me. 3 stars for the potential tho.. i just felt like the books was building up to something epic, and i was so dissapointed by the end.. what really happened? i felt the book was cut off for the sake of a second book, but for the second book to become interesting for the reader, i think she could have written and reveiled more about the elite kings club. This was just toooo vague and confusing.. the book seemed focussed on who banged and kissed who.. madison turned into bishops sex slave lol.. but she still got feelings for him cuz he was soooooo hottttt. I just stayed up the night to read this thinking something good was coming an to be patient, but now i dont know if im going to read the second book after this dissapointment..sigh dilemmmma's
Release Date: March 7, 2017
Genre: Darker YA romance. Enemies-to-lovers. Bully Romance.
Actual Rating: 4.25 stars
After reading Boys of Brayshaw High by Meagan Brandy I have been on a mission to find similar books. Books with an enemies-to-lovers trope, books where the MC is a bully, stuff like that. I don't know what it is about these books that get me going, but they do, and I am loving being able to find new gems. That being said, The Silver Swan came up as a recommended read, one that is similar to BOBH so of course I had to grab it. Did it meet my expectations? Absolutely!!! Of course, it's not without it's flaws and there were certain things that really aggravated me while reading, but for the most part, this book was great.
First and foremost, this is a YA romance as it takes place in high school. Now, I don't think it reads like a YA novel as the sexual situations and the way these kids handle themselves don't scream teenagers, but they are all 18 and under. Next, I would NOT recommend this book to high school aged kids (no one under 18 should read this one). There are just too many instances of abusive tendencies, raw and dirty sex, and drinking and drug taking. I'm no prude and this stuff doesn't personally bother me, but I don't want my kid reading it! Too many can get the wrong idea and the blurring of fantasy and reality could become problematic. Adults, read it all you want and enjoy. I did!
Now, this is a darker romance that centers are these Elite Kings who essentially rule their school. No one knows their secrets, they keep it pretty low key, and they are a mystery to all. But then a girl names Madison comes into their lives in the form of one of these kings stepsisters and things get pretty wild. You'll have to read it to see what I mean because I don't want to spoil the story. Just know, this is a dark book. It also ends in a crazy cliffhanger that makes you want the next book STAT. I know I'll be grabbing it now...
If you are in the mood for an originally dark and twisted read, I would definitely recommend this one. It has it's flaws as I mentioned (how Madison didn't question these boys about the secret they were keeping really made me mad), but is a good novel. I can't wait to read the next one!

To quote Amo Jones and best describe this story perfectly:
ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY describes this awesome book!!!!
I have to admit.. I am a new Amo Jones stalker... I am devouring all the books! And this one.. when I read the synopsis.... holy moly!!! Needed it like the air I breathe!

In this story we have Madison Montgomery... she is not a stranger to tragedy. Her name is tainted with a very violent crime of passion... No matter the amount of money that daddy has! She is an outcast at school because of it. Her father is recently remarried, and has moved them to another city. All is as good as it can be in Madison's world, except that daddy forgot to mention that she has a new step brother.
As she begins Riverside Preparatory Academy, an elite private school in the Hamptons, she is immediately made aware that there is a very elite group of boys that run the school... they are part of the The Elite Kings Club and of course her new step brother belongs to it. And of course, she catches the eye of their leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes, and get me a cold shower asap, because this guy is HOT!
Now this story is dark, twisted and has an amazing storyline... well basically its like 2 storylines, because as you are reading about this twisted tail that feels like your brain is in the blender with all the mind f**kery, Madison is reading a strange book, about the past.... and BAM! if Amo Jones ties it all together in a fantastic cliffy!
I can not wait for book 2, Broken Puppet!!

Sometimes I wanted to throw my book as I couldn’t believe how gullible Madi was… I don’t know if I should read the next book … Im scared that It’ll make me more angry
When you reread this masterpiece it just gets better! Madison is the most infuriatingly iconic FMC to exist, the first time I read this book I wanted to strangle her. Now a year and a half later I realize how iconic she is but still infuriating.
I just appreciate this book even more the second time I’ve read! UGH I MISSED THE KINGS.
