The characters are in high school and I didn’t realize that when I picked up the book. It is dark romance that mixed with high school just isn’t for me. I tried aging them up in my mind. The plot is pretty unbelievable most of the time. The FMC has a book that could possibly give her answers to some of these mysteries, yet it remains mostly unread. The purposeful mysteries without any answers or payoff is frustrating, it is the thing that kept me reading. The hope for some resolution. I’m hoping the first book just didn’t age well.
HOLY SHIT!! I cannot begin to describe how amazing this book is. It is off the charts intense and suspenseful. It is a little bit confusing, but I feel that it adds to the book, instead of taking away like it normally would. YOU WILL NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. I am so serious about that. This is a must read!

I had high hopes for this one, The blurb was so damn good. Unfortunately, the whole story didn't work for me. One thing I loved though was that everything happened for a reason.
