One of the best wlw books I've probably ever read. This was an opposites attract, sunshinexgrumpy, wlw rom-com with some fake dating and a really fun bunch of characters. Darcy is the no nonsense actuary who stopped believing in love and Elle is a astrology girly who totally believes in soul mates. It was a delight and I'll hopefully be continuing this series very soon.

I absolutely loved the first 90% of Written in the Stars! It’s a delicious sapphic romance with all the good stuff—opposites attract, fake dating, and soulmate vibes—and Darcy and Elle make such a fantastic pair of main characters. The pacing of the buildup was spot on, with plenty of swoon-worthy moments that had me fully invested. For most of the book, it was shaping up to be a solid 5-star read.
That said, the ending didn’t quite land for me. Darcy’s well-meaning brother, Brendon, reveals something about her past to Elle that really should’ve come from Darcy herself. It felt like a breach of trust, and it kind of knocked the emotional arc off balance. Then the reconciliation between Darcy and Elle was squeezed into the final chapter, which felt rushed after all the beautiful buildup. I know they appear in the next two books, but I think Written in the Stars would have really benefited from a proper epilogue to wrap things up more satisfyingly.
Still, a super enjoyable read overall, and one I’d definitely recommend!
