Loved it. I love Magnus and having more stories of his life was just brilliant. I especially loved the last few chapters with Alec as they're my fave otp. If this isn't turned into a TV series (Netflix looking at you! - with Magnus and Alec from your OG series) I'll cry.
There's 11 stories ranging from 1791 to present day (in the Mortal Instrument series). I especially liked the camaraderie between Ragnor and Magnus and the Sass of Catarina.

can’t decide what to rate this um 3.5 i think! this was my first time reading it.
at first i was sure i’d give it a 3 but some of the stories brought it up and i was sooo glad and heartwarmed (it’s a verb now) to see some scenes that were mentioned in previous books!!
also this made me really curious about the last hours so i’m very very excited for it (and glad that we already have one of the books out lmao)

I love Magnus! It took me a while to get through this book. The collection of stories hopped from one place to the next. But I grew very fond of Magnus through all the hopping. I always liked him, but I hadn't seen his sense of honor and his tender, forgiving heart as well in the other series that I'd read. He's a pretty amazing fellow, and I can't wait to see how he responds to the new roles in his life.

This book took me forever to power through. Not for lack of interesting content though. Merely because over the course of all these books I've grown to love Magnus so much and watching him lose those he held close hit me very hard. It was so nice getting to see into Magnus's past and see Alec through his eyes. Highly recommend for any fan of the Shadowhunter Chronicles!!
