Emotional and Heartwarming

Wyatt and Kai were everything! The emotional pull from both men was beautifully written as we watch them fumble through a relationship. These two men had so many scars not just physically but mentally but they both fought through to get their happily ever after. I loved their story and hope to see glimpses of them as this series continues.

this book was just ok. it was soooo very fast-paced and there where very few scenes where the character’s were not together or thinking about the other person which led to them feeling very one-dimensional. despite this i still liked the characters and may give this author another try sometime down the road

I felt like the story was not being explored deeply enough and that kill my mood on it, it’s good but not right now.

Wyatt and Kai both come with past trauma when they meet. This book is a beautiful story of healing, learning to trust again and falling in love.
It comes with heartache, self-search, development such a beautiful ending.
Garry's sensitive and gentle way to tackle such a difficult and multi-layered topic as war-induced PTSD is beyond description.
I am once again amazed by your ability to put emotions and thoughts into words.

I binged this book in just a few hours (a girl has to sleep y’all!)

Kai and Wyatt were just wonderful. I loved how straightforward their relationship was. They had an instant connection. Wyatt searching all the coffee shops was the cutest thing! Especially cause he’s this big ex marine searching for his sunshine! And Kai was sunshine. Even tho he was trying to escape his guilt and demons, he couldn’t hold back how much light he exuded. He was exactly what Wyatt needed in his life.

Wyatt’s struggles with PTSD were heartbreaking. And the fact he felt deserved it was even worse. Both of these men holding their guilt as penance gave them a bond but was also something they each needed to make peace with and begin to recover.

The spice in the book was so much more than satisfying! Ooh loved these men together. Our big man with his golden Hawaiian man - yes please!

Such a shame. I really, really wanted to love this book but I just failed to resonate with it. The blurb offered a lot of promise but the story just sounded unconvincing, for the lack of a better word. The plot lines felt like they were written for telenovelas, the sex scenes sounded like generic porn. It always pains me to have to rate low especially when I know authors spent a lot of effort to put out their beloved work. I'm so sorry but I'm glad other readers enjoyed this much better than I did. Maybe I'd have much better luck with the author's other works.
