I absolutely adored the banter and connection between Brody and Delilah. They were dynamic characters with intense back stories. It's been awhile since a romance story made me tear up, and I was definitely Not expecting it from a "down and dirty football novel" but that didn't stop the tears from falling. I was so invested in the characters that I cried at multiple points as I clung desperately to every triumph and heartbreak. This was my first introduction to Vi Keeland and I am ready to let her wring my heart out over and over again with her breathtaking writing!

AUDIOBOOK & E-BOOK

Meh, I don't recommend this book. It started out great, but about halfway through took a turn that I didn't like and the end was blah.

Brody's aggressiveness was hot, and his romance was incredible - I loved his gift of sticks rather than flowers. Their banter was adorable. The chase was great!

About halfway through there is an addition of another point of view - Brody's ex-wife, Willow, who I assumed was dead before this. I didn't want to hear about her therapy sessions or how she thought this was her time to get Brody back. The romance and excitement I had building up for Deliah and Brody went cold as I learned about Willow.

Don't waste your time on this book.

I'm rated this a 3 but it's more of a 3.5 I don't really know what I expected from this book, but I did really love it. I loved their back and forth and chemistry. Sometimes the drama felt a little overbearing, but I loved their feelings and I wanted them to talk to each other. It was good to see them working through their past and their grief. All of the side characters were great too and I just had a fun time reading it. I'm not sure if I'd read it again, but possibly.

3.5 Stars for this one. And the only reason it's not higher is I absolutely HATED having that 3rd POV in the book. It caused me so much anxiety it was crazy. I'm not normally one to feel like that but I was so invested in the book and what was happening and then BAM 3rd POV and I instantly hated it.
Delilah and Brody are perfect and I loved everything about them. Vi Keeland is becoming one of my top authors and although this book ticked me right off I'll never stop picking them up and reading them!
