What I most love about this beautiful picture book is there is literally NOTHING else like it on the market. Yes, there are “winter” books and “snow” books, but this gorgeous and well-written book goes into detail about exactly who lives under the snow. It’s informative but such a great read-aloud too. It would make a fantastic gift as well as an addition to any home or public library.

Really liked the illustrations in this story. Tells the story of the animals that live under and over the snow in the winter.

This was the perfect book to read on a winter day. The illustrations were creatively done so that you could see more than what we normally see on top of the snow. Even though it is a fiction book I was introduced to some new animals and you can learn a lot.

Wasn't sure why this was nonfiction until I got to the end. Learned some new things about animals in winter. Didn't love the illustrations, but I have a better appreciation after reading the other comments.
