This book was great!!! Then it got creepy around 40% (I don’t like ghosts or scary stories) and I was getting scared so I skipped to like 70/80% and wowza!!! Plot twist. So good. So sad. I cried. I am saying that I finished e en though I technically did not. There is actually a HEA which makes me happy. What a book. What a trip.

Okay….. so it got better… mainly bc the smut ended. Jesus Christ.

The story was pretty good actually which was disappointing because it was so overshadowed with the weird sex. Not to kink shame, but it just was cringy. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good smut scene and I can get over cringy or corny role playing when it’s makes sense to the plot or doesn’t last for 30 minutes of my read every other chapter.

With that all being said, the end was really cool to connect the dots and a lot of things started making sense and not something I saw coming at all. I just wish the story took more of a center stage which I admit isn’t fair for me to say since it’s advertised as a romance but my argument to that is…what romance?! 😂 call me old fashioned but entirely too much intensely awkward p in the v isn’t romance. Sorry.

Judging the story itself I’d almost give this 4.5 stars! It’s truly such a cool and unique concept but for all the reasons I mentioned above I contemplated DNF so many times throughout the first 75% of the book, it haaaardly made the 3 star cut for me.
