What a great book about some teenagers in Denmark who decided they would not take it anymore from the Germans during World War II. They formed a resistance at great sacrifice to their lives as well as their families. This book brings you with the kids as they are stealing guns from the Germans or dealing with mice in a jail cell. I just wish this book was written for slightly younger students because our fourth graders, around 9 years old, study World War II and a book of this type would be quite useful.

Really fascinating story! Great non-fic read for middle school/high school readers. Really sucked me in with stories of daring acts of sabotage the Churchill Club carried out, and their harrowing time in prison. Great read!

I gave this book a 5 star rating because the book is very interesting and important to tell because these kids were the main reason of the start of resistance in Denmark during the occupation of the Nazi's.

I found this to be a very interesting read. I hadn't realized everything that happened in Denmark during WWII. Those young men were brave and courageous.

As in Claudette Colvin, Hoose interviews an important, little-known figure from history and brings their teenage exploits to life. This time it's Knud Pedersen who, as a boy, started a group that sabotaged the Nazis occupying Denmark during WWII. Incredible acts of heroism that resulted in being jailed and tried for treason. The boys did not escape unscathed.

This may have been five stars if I had read it. Fantastic non-fiction story about some Danish teens who, frustrated with their government's cooperation with the Nazis, resisted.
My only peeve with the audiobook is that I really didn't like the voice that did the parts that were Knud speaking.
