This was a surprisingly difficult to put down book. It's very unique, it's written in the thoughts of the main character, an illiterate teenage boy, so the book is riddled with intentional grammatical and spelling mistakes. This just makes it feel more authentically like the character's voice though, and it's very captivating and emotional. It's easy to get wrapped up in the main character as he sets off on the journey that will turn him into a man.

I can't remember the last time that I read a story that felt this original. I loved it and can't wait for the next installment !

I enjoyed the suspense as much as the world building in this one. Pleasantly surprised as the story revealed key plot points. Interestingly, the author plays with revealing important information to the main character a couple chapters before the reader is filled in. At time this was a little frustrating, but also had me hanging on to find out why that character just reacted in a certain way. Also liked how consistent the writing was for each character- especially Todd’s speaking style.

Todd comes from a town where everyone can hear everyone else's thoughts, the animals can talk, and there are no women. What's up with that? This non-stop action adventure series will answer most of those questions and keep you up late nights reading, at least it kept me up.

No to si ze mě děláte prdel.

Sakra.

Vážně potřebuju další díl.

If I could give it more stars, I would. One part had me BAWLING and I mean bawling my eyes out. I truly felt like I
had lost Manchee. He was/is my favorite man’s best friend.
This book is probably in my top five (not that I’ve read many) and I’d recommend it to anyone I’ve met.
Though I will say I hate all the sad endings I really thought there was gonna be something in Haven😭😭
I love the personal font/speaking of writing I’m obsessed. I’m obsessed with the characters and just everything. Ugh, can’t wait to read book two. ALSO HOW DID THIS BOOK NOT BECOME A MOVIE WHAT THE EFF.

Reread 11 May 2017
Preparing to finally read the last book. After 3 years lol. I listened to the audiobook it was okay.
First read 3-5 July 2014
Five months .I've had this book for 5 months , and I just read it now . I got it without knowing anything about it except that it's VERY hyped , and that it has raving reviews . Let me tell you , it definitely deserves the hype .
The main protagonist is a boy who can't read or write well that's why the book is full of grammar mistakes and misspellings and even though this would usually annoy me , it didn't . It made it more realistic and surprisingly more fun .
Learn from my mistake and read it ASAP, it's a fantastic book .
