funny lighthearted slow-paced

very very very descriptive writing but clearly written. this is a reissued book originally released in 2005. cool concept of sheep detectives solving their own shepherd's murder. some very humorous parts that remind me a bit of the style of The Thursday Murder Club (I prefer TMC). the ending does tie everything up but felt underwhelming for me explanation wise after All That.

I'll probably read the upcoming book from the library but I'm not in a rush to get to it.

I must say I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one at all. A sheep detective story? Could that even work? I guess in some aspect it does because this books sells pretty well and has won a few awards. I personally just didn’t really get the appeal. It was so slow paced and the sheep just talk circles around each other for the most part. I’ll give it 3 stars for originality for sure but other than that this one just didn’t do it for me.

At the very least this book has left me wondering how often sheep are hiding in corners listening in on my conversations.
