Such an impressively clever book, provides a really unique perspective into the cannon of true crime, flips the narrative about an incredibly famous case completely on it’s head in a way that is truly challenging, and really makes you question the truths we universally accept about violence against women.

I love the premise of Bright Young Women. The story of The Defendant is one we're all aware of so showcasing the stories of the victims and demystifying The Defendant made for a well-overdue narrative, however, the writing was so poor it agitated me.
First, the author used a lot of commas, in places I don't quite think needed to be there, because, the sentence, in my opinion, would have been better, perhaps more clear, without, excessive and, plentiful, commas.
So many paragraphs were nonsensical and I had to reread it more than once to glean what Knoll was trying to get across.
If this would have just had a stronger editor I could have easily bumped it up to four stars.
