For some reason, I didn't love this one as much as previous volumes. I still enjoy Hazel's narration, and I thought the mystery was fun. I liked the setting of the train and the homage to Agatha Christie. But something about it just fell flat for me. I liked it well enough and I'm still looking forward to the next in the series.

Hazel and Daisy investigate a murder! On a train! In a locked compartment!
Yet another cute adventure with Daisy and Hazel. This is the first one I've managed to outsmart them both and figure out the clues they were missing, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. On to book 4!
The third installment in the Wells and Wong Mystery series sees Hazel and Daisy on holidays with Hazel’s dad, traveling across Europe on the Orient Express. In a wonderful tribute to Agatha Christie, Stevens has written a clever locked-room mystery, complete with jewel theft, murder, espionage and international spy rings. With help from a few of the other passengers, Hazel and Daisy solve the crime, before the adults and authorities can fit all the pieces together. Love this series, looking forward to the next adventure back at Deepdean School.

I started this book over a month ago and I just now finished it. This is simply a case of it being perfectly fine but I was not inclined to pick it up again after I read the first big chunk. In this addition to the series. Hazel and Daisy are on the Orient Express, exploring Europe with Hazels dad. Along the way one of the passengers is murdered. Naturally the two of them start to investigate. This one was not as interesting to me as the previous book in the series. I might pick up another book featuring these two but it will not be anytime soon. A perfectly fine book but I think that it reads a bit young for me which does not make it that entertaining to me. Middle school me would have loved this series.

I love the similarities between this and [b:Murder on the Orient Express|853510|Murder on the Orient Express (Hercule Poirot, #10)|Agatha Christie|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1486131451l/853510._SY75_.jpg|2285570] , not just setting-wise but plot twist-wise as well. It is a thrilling read
