Man this was intense. And i was fully invested. I was and wasn’t completely surprised by the events. But such a good story! I loved that it focused on women sticking together. And that no matter what, it is not ok to harm another person and that the guilty should pay.
It’s shocking how something so horrible could be happening right under your nose and you don’t even know it. I was so proud of the MC for coming through the way she did (trying not spoil)

I wish this were a longer story it was so good! The mom kinda made me mad letting the son talk to her like that 😅 When they went back to the house to arrest the son I just knew he’d have shot himself. I’m glad he didn’t

This was devastatingly good. It's not a good story, but any means, but it was so heart-wrenching. I was hooked from the start.
This audiobook was well worth the time I had to wait for the library copy! I have never listened to something like this. When I say it started with a jolt I am not joking. It took a hold all the way to the end.
I did the audiobook of this and it was one of the best audios I have heard.
Great short story! It came to the twist and conclusion very quickly though. I wish it was a full length story so we could have had more details on the fall out. Overall a good read though.
