Lucinda Berry knows how to write the kinds of thrillers that I find the scariest: the ones that could potentially happen in real life. Her experience working as a child
psychologist particularly shines in this one, which follows a suicide hotline volunteer who begins to suspect her son is involved in the sexual assault of a teenage girl at a house party. This was an audio exclusive, and it was masterfully done, from the hotline phone calls to the the voice acting to the side effects.

Interesting novella - the story was predictable but I appreciated the author's discussion about how parents are blamed. I would have liked more discussion about that and more about sociopathic behaviors and research.
One of Our Own by Lucinda Berry is a thought provoking, fast paced psychological thriller centering around a single mother volunteering at a suicide prevention hotline. I could not stop listening to this incredibly gripping audiobook and I cannot get the storyline out of my mind. One of Our Own is 100% binge worthy!
