I wanted to love this. The language was beautiful, the concepts were great, and it was authentic. Unfortunately the timing was strange and in the end the pieces didn’t feel like they fully connected.

I suppose I can see why people liked this book, but for me there was just way too much going on. Too many different storylines, it meandered on quite a bit. I like the intention; however I think the author could have gotten there a lot sooner and cleaner.
