Very fun to read! I can imagine though maybe of the 3 stories some may appeal to a reader more than others. Of the novel, it's "real life" conversation between author and translator, and the notes in margins, I enjoyed all three. Lucky me! The mystery was not challenging - some reviews I've read say the book is confusing and I really disagree. Most of it is laid out quite plainly, just not chronologically. Maybe if you forget characters easily, make a list to keep some of the author names in order.
There are several websites available (as of Oct 2024) which have reading guides, character charts, maps of referenced places, and instructions for how to use the wheel. Very cool!

I had no idea what was happening.
Amazing. Different. Brilliant. Crazy. Love. Fear. LOST. Murder. Money. Power. Life. Death. Beginning. End. Water. True. False. Fact. Fiction. Incredibly woven story by the storytellers of our generation. Definitely will read again.
I'm so confused..
It was my new years resolution this year to read this book as i have had it on my tbr for years.
The main story was super hard to get through. The notes in the margins made it difficult to concentrate but also it was just a bit boring..
I was relieved when i finally made it through the story (with help from the audiobook).
The notes between Jen and Eric were much more enjoyable and i sped through them. It was fun taking notes of the characters and clues etc and i got very attached to FXC

Finally, A Jolly Postman for adults. Loved the production values on this, and there is clearly a lot there left to be untangled but it feels like the community never got to the bottom of it, and I suspect that there are some supporting websites and ARG elements which may no longer be maintained. Would love to have got to the end and then read all about the bigger picture on a reddit board, but perhaps the book came too early in internet forum history for that. A cool concept and really well implemented, will definitely check in from time to time to see if there are any further developments...
Pausing for now and will return when I have dedicated brain power to read this
