That ending, damn... how is she going to get out of all this. All these books end on great cliffhangers. I didn’t love this as much as the others, but it was still very enjoyable and engaging.
Still dying to know about Barrons and wanting to know if V-Lane is good or bad!!

This book is when thing start to get seriously hairy for Mac. Further and further down the rabbit hole she goes - and she is still trying to piece together information from various sources - Barrons, V'lain, Christian, Rowena and it seems no one is giving her the whole picture (well Christian doesn't know everything!).
Mac has changed a whole lot from the Mac in the first book and she is seriously awesome. I love how she just doesn't give a crap about what anyone thinks of her. She does not want to rely on anyone but will call in help when she needs it.

My unpopular opinion: MAC IS STUPID!
Oh my God, how I hate that girl. It’s the most insufferable heroine I’ve ever read. She is getting better, though. She has grown a little bit and the bad taste in clothing is less in this book. But she’s still self obsessed and obtuse. I can’t even complain about how everyone treat her like an useful object because she’s just dumb.
I had many issues with this book:
1. The 1st part of the book is basically a repetition of Bloodfever. Has the author never heard of summaries? It was awful. No sensible person would start reading a series from the 3rd book, so there’s no need to do an info-dump.
2. The slow pace kills me. A lot of things happen but I still feel Mac gets too much free time to be stupid.
3. Too many questions- cero answers. It’s getting annoying.
What I didn’t have issues with:
PLOT!! It is freaking amazing, I need to know what happens next even if I hate half of what I’ve read so far.

Wow. This series is so frustratingly good. Mac is an amazing heroine. Nothing rattles her. Sometimes I find myself crying tears of absolute frustration on her behalf while she remains cool and collected.
I couldn't have predicted anything in this book. I can't wait to see where this goes.
