Oh my god i don't know how things are going to get better from this. What the heck this plot twist blew my mind. I just don't know what to say.

well shit. call me pri-ya because I’m addicted.

Such great world building in these books and this one really dove even more into it. Everything and everyone is still such a mystery because you literally can’t take anyone at their word. WHO/WHAT IS BARRONS.

also, I fcking hate slow burns and overly possessive men, but holy hell these books do it so well.

This was probably my least favorite book of the series. There was a whole lot of information packed in here, which was necessary, but things took a very interesting turn at the end so it was impossible to stop and write a review because I just had to find what happened!!

Nobody looks good in their darkest hours. But it's those hours that make us what we are. ~Mac

Barrons was powerful, broodingly good-looking, insanely wealthy, frighteningly intelligent, and had exquisite taste, not to mention a hard body that emitted some kind of constant low-level charge. Bottom line: He was the stuff of heroes.

And psychotic killers.

And the sexual tension!!!

I moistened my lips. His gaze fixed on them. I think I stopped breathing.
He jerked so sharply away that his long dark coat sliced air, and turned his back to me. “Was that an invitation, Ms.Lane?”
“If it was?” I asked, astonishing myself. What did I think I was doing?
“I don’t do hypotheticals. Little girl.”

As I moved deeper into the room, his gaze dropped to my feet, and worked its way back to my face. I was wearing faded jeans, boots, and a snug pink Juicy T-shirt I got on sale at TJ Maxx last summer that said I’m a Juicy girl.
“I bet you are,” he murmured.

Wow this one's the darkest of the series so far. Mac doesn't have things easy right now and everything is crumbling around her ears. Barrons is still such a mystery and tells her nothing. She's finding herself tumbling into a number of tough places, but she's trying to keep everyone at arms length and look out for herself. The dark is encroaching and more and more trouble is showing up on the streets of Dublin. I want to see where things go and see a few more of the mysteries revealed. Quite the cliffhanger ending in this one too. I'll be reading the next one quickly.

I was sick with the flu, so I took the day off work and finished this book in one day. I was so deep into the story that by the time my nose was out of my kindle, I was a tad confused with what was reality and what was Dublin.

Despite that, this book is still not a 5-star because something needs to happen between Mac and Barrons! For fuck's sake, either they need to get together or Mac needs to get together with someone. I need some romance in my life. Come. On.

Okay, okay, I get that Moning probably didn't want to eclipse the storyline with too much romance, but can't a girl get even a smooch? No? Nothing? It's not like I'm asking for anyone to profess their undying love for Mac or anything (hard to believe that anyone would even love Mac to that point from what I've read so far. She's still pretty punchable), but something! Anything! Argh.

And the ending. OMG, don't get me started on the ending. I wasn't comfortable with the

Spoiler. Duh, no one in their right mind should be comfortable with

, but after reading what the Unseelie princes did to Mac at the end, I felt like I could take a hot shower and scrub my body out of the filth.

I am so glad I don't have to wait another year for the next book, because I know I would pull my hair out and go nuts after a cliff-hanger like that.

Off to the next book now.

Totally a guilty pleasure. How good it feels to read an effortless page-turner!

I still don’t get the hype. This was 19 chapters of nothing. Mac frolicking around the city and learning nothing.
