Another fun read! I enjoyed the first novel more because of cast of characters and their relationships, but the mysteries were both enjoyable. I could have done without the epilogue, but what’s a few pages in an otherwise excellent novel?

This book feels like an homage to Agatha Christie and Knives Out with a sprinkle of something new. I love these books and I am making myself not read them all at once because I need there to be another waiting for me. I hope he never stops writing them! In this locked door mystery set on the Ghan, a train that crosses Australia, a writer's retreat turns deadly and anyone on the train knows how to get away with murder. Ernest Cunningham returns and really wants a break from murder but does not get one. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys a sharp, witty, mystery with a ton of twists!
