This was a sweet, inspirational, and true story of how two people from completely different backgrounds became friends for life.

This was a nice story about how a woman and a boy from two very different walks of life became friends. It was a quick read, but nothing profound.

This has been on my TBR list for a long time. I loved this book. A chance meeting between a homeless, panhandling kid and a busy working woman from USA Today in the mid 80's changes both of their lives. Instead of giving Maurice money, Laurie invites him to eat at the McDonalds across the street. A friendship begins that changes both of their lives.

Very inspirational story that reminds you that a little bit of kindness can go a long way in someone’s life.

A decent book about the good that people can do in other's lives. I loved the concept behind it, but it was read by the author/person doing the good and this left me with an over romanticized, over dramatized, self glorification feel to the book. I'm glad that I listened to it. It was an exceptional story that was not necessarily exceptionally written.

This memoir was touching, but I don't know if it was the narration (I listened to it) or the writing, it just wasn't as compelling as I thought it would be.
