I would have liked the herione(Aria) to be a bit more independent and I felt like there weren't as much girl power as I would have hoped for. The writing style was not any special but it was a fun and easy read.

The writing was kind of bad, good plot. felt like i was reading a wattpad story. Most of it was filled with “he growled.” what is he a dog???

Once again disappointed by the Booktok. Never again guys, I won't take your rec.
That was so bad I thought I was going to DNF @ 50%
I love mafia books but this one was baaaaaad.
And I won't even talk about Aria and Luca, they were as annoying as Grace's existence.

The story had appealing characters and it did great with drawing me into the slow development of the characters' emotions for each other. However, it ended abruptly, leaving me dissatisfaction, as if the author had encountered writer's block and quickly wrapped up the narrative. This rushed ending abruptly ended my enjoyment, warranting a one-star rating.

While I found some enjoyment in the characters, particularly Luca, I wish we got a deeper exploration of his perspective. His calculated nature with his mother’s suicide and his disdain for his father but it wasn't fully taken advantage of in the story. Additionally, Aria's passive demeanor made it challenging to empathize with her, and the lack of a substantial plot hindered my engagement. Despite my efforts, and I mean many efforts, I couldn't fully immerse myself in the narrative and connect with the characters on a deeper level because I just don’t know them.

I’m more excited to see what becomes of the sister and youngest brother.

Okay. Look.

Normally I pride my self in being impartial regardless of the circumstances. And when it come to reviews I give both good and bad. (mostly good)

But I have to say this was probably one of the most disappointing books I have ever read.

The synopsis was great and gave me so much hope. But the story it self....? Um.... Not great.

Story centers around #ariascuderi
who is betrothed to future Mafia heir #lucavitiello and how she supposedly makes Luca be more of a human and less of the monster everyone thinks he is.

There was absolutely no plot. And whatever plot there was, it wasn't explained properly and left several loose ends. The main female character was not at all strong. ALL the male characters are abusive and frankly very disturbed.

And I know this is a Mafia romance and technically it should be like so, but there was no character development not even from the main male character. I expected better from this but like I said, DISAPPOINTED.
However, if anyone is looking for Fifty Shades without a plot, then you can find it in this book.

I have to say though, the supporting female character was awesome and frankly I continued to read the story because of her.

Giving this book a ⭐⭐/5 star rating.

So, after reading both Luca’s and Aria’s POV I can finally say that I like this couple. But, between these two books I liked Luca’s POV more. I still don’t get why Aria had to be such a prude. I mean, she grew up in that world, she knew what kind of man her father was and she knew that she’s going to marry someone inside their world. Why did she had to be scared for so long? I really liked how she made a team with Luca, they were really powerful together. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t aprove her father selling her, but this is a mafia book, this was expected. And Luca never gave her reasons to fear him, actually he was patient and respectful of her.
Overall, I liked the couple and their chemistry but I would’ve appreciated a lot more teamwork between them if Aria would’ve been less fearful. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars because I liked them and I liked how Cora writes these books, I’ll definitely finish this series!
