Fun little follow up mystery to the original Appeal, still clever and entertaining but not quite as compelling

A delightful short little novella set around Christmas with a deadly twist. The modern epistolary format lends itself to a more casual, realistic tone of dialogue and funny little moments that had me exhaling out of my nose more than once.
Honestly I think you could remove the "Christmas" from this story very easily, which makes it not really Christmassy to me, but it was a cute (?!) little story with a bite of mystery and I enjoyed it. Since it's so short, I might read it again for Christmas next year; who knows?
