Very sweet.

I picked it up because I loved the Miyazaki film and wondered if the book would contain the same level of wonder and sweetness. It kind of does but the film clearly blew some more magic into the story.

It’s a lovely children’s book, but if you’re reading it for your kid then might I suggest to follow it up with a book about stranger-danger as the perfect pairing.
