I had to put some Amelia Bedelia on here...I blazed through all of these books in rapid succession as a child.
I had forgotten how much I loved these books when I was a kid.
I love the pictures in this book, and the story is pretty funny as well. This is another of those I don';t remember this title and as you go through it oh yep I know this book. I have a feeling this was another one that I read not so long ago. This was actually to mark off on a list on list challenge, and then as I read it I recognised I had read it previously, but I finished it again anyway it is after all a fun yearn.
Clever way to illustrate the dual meanings of some words.
Classic. Loved the silliness (now reinterpreted as a defiance against keeping a clean house).
November 2018 - some of the wordplay went over Ben's head - he would clearly side with Amelia Bedelia for some of these things! But he also got that it was all supposed to be funny, and especially liked the lightbulbs on the line and the dressed chicken.
