There was a lot of potential for this book; however, between the poor writing and the shallow narrative - I really did not enjoy this book.

It could have been brilliant should the author fully developed the political conflict in the book; it would have raised the stakes and tension - dotting in facts after sex is not good writing, and exposition of seemingly important world building in the last 100 pages of the book seems like the author forgot to put it in.

The characters were irritating - Roxy's insufferable inner monologue about her being "not like other girls" had me tearing my hair out. The inner dialogue, and even dialogue between characters, seemed thin and repetitive. The character building was not strong enough for me to deeply care for the characters.

Everything came back to sex. And fair enough, I love a bit of smut BUT if it's a constant element throughout the book, everything comes back to it, it shaves off the potential for character depth, leaving us with otherwise shallow and uninteresting characters.

There was a lot of potential here to be an epic millionaire mafia novel; but the writing really let it down.

I enjoyed until the last 5 percent. It had a decent plot for erotica but at about 95% through it started gettinf repetitive and boring, so much so that i skipped the last 3 chapters. Had it not got boring i was considering buying it to read again, buuuut i probably wont now.

Pretty good book slightly predictable but still a super fun read. I read the book from a TikTok about daddy diesel and his fanny pack.. getting to that part did not disappoint and I laughed out loud very loudly!!

Great beginning, boring ending

Books starts off real strong but then character development of main character becomes stagnant. Main character only thinks about sex at all moments. How do you think about orgasms in the middle of shoot out?
