the sending of lara jean's letters definitely could have turned out to be a little more chaotic, but i liked the coziness of diving into lara jean and peter's fake relationship and the longstanding history that josh has with the song/covey family. the writing was not my fave (very very YA, but in a way where the story matters more than how well the book is written), but i've decided to read the next book (and hopefully finish the trilogy). fingers crossed that jenny han will make me cry later in the series like she did with the summer i turned pretty.

OVERALL IMPRESSION: The beginning was a little bit slow moving, but about 60 pages in, it picks up and starts to get interesting. This was cute, and a really good example of the perfect contemporary read. I was expecting it to delve more into each of the letters and maybe go on to explain more about each of the boys that Lara Jean felt she was in love with, but this is more about what Lara Jean does after she discovers the letters have been sent out and doesn't really have a whole lot to do with the letters themselves.
CHARACTERS: I can really relate to the main character, Lara Jean. On page 32, she talks about her fear of driving, and it sounds exactly like me. She's also into scrapbooking, which I love as well. I loved the relationship between Lara Jean, Kitty and Margo. It is the exact relationship that I would want if I had sisters.
COVER: I like the cover. I like the glimpse into Lara Jean's room and I like the handwritten font of the title.
**I received an ARC of this book from Amazon Vine for my honest review.

I loved this book! It's so #romance, and the family and friend relationships are also all fantastic. The writing was a little distracting-- it's so simplistic it feels more juvenile than high school, but once I got used to it I enjoyed the read!
I love this book so much.I watched the movie first and fell in love with the concept and characters.I got all the books for my birthday last year and read them all. They are all grey and the movie is so cute.
Dear Lara Jean,
Living in your sister’s shadow won’t get you anywhere. You are more than your sister, you are greater than Margot. Margot had no right to be mad at you because her EX boyfriend kissed you.
You are not what people say, you are more than rumors.
Margot has no right to belittle you, to think you can’t survive without her, that you can’t take care of Kitty. She has no right to comment about who you like and eventually love. You are the maker of your own life.
Peter has no right to use you to make Gen jealous, but he has every right to fall in love with you. Gen has no right to spread rumors about you, but has every right to remain in her little bubble and just be a nobody.
You have every right to be happy, Lara Jean. You are a strong girl who needs to fly. So fly, Lara Jean. Let the world see who you really are. Don’t change for the world.
Love,
the reader

4.5 stars!
And for the record Goodreads, this book was 423 pages long, not 288!
But it was such a cute book. I really liked it.
You really connected with all the characters, and especially Margot reminded me of my self. Wanting to do things right, and always being commited to responsibility. And Lara Jean was just so real!! A main character who actually made mistakes, had small everyday fights and did other things that just made her so normal. And oh did I laugh at Kittys adorablenesss.
But I was never really fond of Peter, unfortuanetly. Maybe I'll like him in the next book, who knows?
What made me give this book 4.5 stars and not 5, was the lacking of something exciting, surprising, dramatic or etc. to happen. I missed something like that, but overall this book was just a perfect contemporary, and I really need to get my hands on PS. I Still Love You!
