Cute, fun read! I'll probably read the rest of the series when I need something light.

The book was good and enjoyable. it was a little slow in the beginning but after that it was good.

***4.5/5***

I absolutely loved this book!!! It was so cute and I felt so giddy while reading it. I flew through it and cannot wait to pick up the other two books. To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of Margot or Josh. I loved Peter and Lara's dad though. Lara Jean seemed a bit childish at times, but then again, I was pretty childish when I was 16, even if I didn't think so at the time. The reason I couldn't give this book 5 stars was because of the ending. I understand it's supposed to lead up to the next book, but I felt like it didn't do THIS book justice. Nevertheless, I am excited to pick up the next two books.

To no one’s surprise...the book is way better than the movie. This book is super easy to read and although I’m not a Peter fan, they did have some cute moments. Overall, this book is a quick read (it reads like a Wattpad book) and I will definitely try some of Lara Jean’s cookie recipes!

PS:
I’m always going to be a John Ambrose girl...solely because he’s the better choice lol. Maybe even Josh. Anyone over Peter.

I highly recommend this book to anyone in a reading slump. It's such a fun, quick read, telling a story about teenage love, high school, but also family.
The only problem I had with this book was Lara Jean being veery immature most of the time. Like, I know, the girl is 16 years old, but come one. At some parts it was painful to read. It was a bit unrealistic that her younger sister was so mature and grown-up at 9 years old, and that Lara Jean acted like a 10 year-old most of the time.

But I still really enjoyed the book, and I'm definitely going to pick up the sequel.

bold text: 4 Stars

This book was by no means up there in my favourite ALL-TIME books that I would point out and say yes, flawless, BUT it was a beautiful read, and something I really got stuck into.

The writing was very easy to follow, and it flowed seamlessly in and out between the different environments and scenarios which unfolded. The pacing was really good, and nothing happened so suddenly and unrealistically which was a refreshing twist. I managed to read this so quickly which is always pleasant.

It was quite filled with drama and high school romance, but it was enjoyable, and a fun read. I feel like Contemporary romance, especially those situated in high school, are overdone but this was not horrible, I feel because you can't help but get hooked in to finding out what happens
Spoiler whether Pete and Lara Jean end up legitimately falling for eachother
and get emotionally involved with the characters.

Other tidbits:
- I did NOT like Margot...
- I had a love-hate relationship with Pete but ended up LOVING him. Major character development.
- Josh was so adorable, but no.
- Kitty was the cutest human ever to exist, and I so desperately wish I had a little younger sister who could show me how one can be truly sassy and witty.

Enjoyable read and I have already purchased the sequel with my credits on Audible hehe.

Movie did it better. A lot of filler involving the family and car rides, while barely squeezing out 350 pages. The movie goes into better depth about how it affects her social life and how it would truly play out between jealous parties
