can confirm: the book is better than the movie. is it a cheesy, YA rom-com book? yes. does it make me want to go out and buy the rest of the series? yes! it was absolutely adorable and i think captured moments that were hard to convey in the movie itself. loved loved loved this book.

Dnf ok. 150 stron

I think the idea was really cool, it just felt a little too repetitive with the constant ‘do I love you or not?!?!’ Either way I would recommend because it had me pretty hooked and that means it’s good

4 Stars!

I know this had been said over and over in reviews, but if I had to sum up this book in one word, it would be ‘cute’. It’s such a nice and fluffy contemporary and it was such a fun read.

There is plenty to love within this book - I especially loved the focus on family and its imperfections as well as how it copes with change.

Lara Jean herself was super relatable (especially as someone who spent secondary school not risking telling people she liked them), and I really felt for everything she went through. Like seriously, I was in floods of tears by the end.

On the other hand, I didn’t really like Peter. I just found him to be a little controlling and not really likeable in general. Lara Jean deserves better than that - just saying.

Anyways, I’m really glad this is a trilogy because I’m not sure that I’m ready to leave these characters behind. However, it might be a while before I can actually get my hands on the other two, so I guess I’ll have to wait.

Overall: A cute and fun contemporary with a great family story, even if the love interest is questionable.

4.25 stars. Really liked it, but the writing was sometimes a little off for me and seriously though, that ending?!?! Now I still don't have my answer............

This was a really quick read for me, but I didn’t like it as much as I liked some of the other books I’ve read. I liked the sisters’ relationship aspect of the book, but during the entire time I was reading, I felt like Lara Jean was making so many mistakes throughout the book, and she didn’t fix all of them even at the end.
