Review: I know this is a YA but Koffi was driving me crazy in this book. I loved the 2 previous books, but I was really struggling with her in this one. I also thought we were going to have a love triangle develop more in this book, but it just didn't and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

I had a great time with this trilogy! It was so much adventure & getting to know all the characters. I loved the author's thought on 'monsters'. My only con is the end was a bit rushed & 1 subplot wasn't tied up or explained.

This was a good ending to a very satisfying YA fantasy trilogy. They need to thwart the plans of the god of death and realize they need help from the other gods. So off Koffi and Ekon go along with their pals to accomplish this before bonding day. The author continues to make good use of African mythology, folklore and names to truly make this a Pan-African story. This is great for teens and up. I’ll miss hanging out with Koffi and Ekon. The only thing I didn’t like was how a death of one of the friends occurred. Was odd to me.
