In Beasts of War, Koffi is hunted for the powerful magic in her body, to destroy the world while this magic threatens to overtake her. As with its predecessors, the strongest aspect of this finale book is the unique mythical beasts, set against a beautifully vivid setting. The story proceeds at a comfortable pace but the ending is rushed, with several plot elements left unexplained.

The third book in the trilogy sadly wasn't on par with the first two. It was still interesting and entertaining, but it was a lot of the same struggles/story structure as the first two. The characters were a bit more annoying and felt like they had less character development and the end of the plot felt a bit rushed.

It is, however, despite the above, still a good read and I would still recommend the whole trilogy to someone whose looking for an adventurous and unique Young Adult fantasy trilogy

I was obsessed with the first two books in Ayana Gray's "Beasts of Prey" trilogy, but I found the last book to be underwhelming. The quest seemed to drag on and on, and it wasn’t until the last 60 pages or so that the action picked up to address the conflict. In my opinion, that wasn't adequate time to resolve things and it left me wanting.

While I'd be interested in exploring a spin-off, I was left feeling somewhat disappointed by "Beasts of War."
