First and foremost this is a book of beautiful photography both of food in various states of preparation and the people and places that it is made. There are recipes handwritten by its creators but I feel that it's only there to add a sense of authenticity to each piece as it would be difficult to follow most.

not quite as fun as the Selby at home. Of course the photos are great and the peeks into awesome lifestyles are fascinating. however. the format of this works better w "look at my cool house" than "here's how to make my complex ink squid and nettles ice cream illegibly written in marker in a tiny space". "reading" this kind of gave me a headache but I was also inspired! in summary, I am not a chef.
