So I literally finished R&R and ran to libby because despite having a full TBR of available reads, I was not dealing with another cliffhanger! As luck would have it they did have G&G available, and I’m so glad I didn't have to wait! The final instalment delivers tons of action, adventure, and high-stakes battles, making for an intense and emotional conclusion to Trinity and Zayne’s story.
That said, I couldn’t help but feel like some of the magic from the first book might have been a little lost along the way. While S&F had a unique spark, books two and three never fully recaptured that same feeling for me. I am a romance leaning fantasy reader, so the constant battles also made parts of the book feel a bit long for me, as the pacing leaned more on action than the emotional and character-driven moments I loved in book one, falling in love with the characters while they did the same.
But even with those gripes, I will unashamedly admit I had my fair share of emotional moments—this series definitely made me cry more than once. I remember reading pretty late into the night and watching the snowfall, not knowing how far Trin's blindness was going to advance. I should have been sad about all the things she would miss seeing like the stars, or the beaches she talked about, but I spent a significant amount of time crying not knowing if she would ever be able to see Zayne smile at her again... Annnnyway...now that it’s over, I already miss Trinity and Zayne. Their journey was a wild ride, and while it wasn’t perfect, it was still a satisfying and heartfelt conclusion to the trilogy.

I ran through the first book, so good. The 2nd was good but not as. This one was terrible. Spent 3/4 of the book on Zayne being "perfect" and "good." Omg! I don't like romance to begin with, but this is horrible. And then there's the God saves the day ending. It's totally cheesy. I don't even want to start on what the author did to Peanut.
Absolutely stunning. That’s all I can say. I even cried a little. Which if you knew me is incredibly difficult.
I loved her portrayal of Trinity’s disability. As someone who struggles with severe mental health I found it to be very truthful in the struggles that many people face. This book really just made me grateful for an amazing portrayal of what life can be like.

Starting this book felt a bittersweet as it’s the last book in the Trilogy. The Story picks right up from where Rage and Ruin finished, so you don’t have to wait long to find out what’s going on with Zayne. I did find the first few chapters incredibly slow going, and it took me ages to fully connect with story.
Usually I love literally anything JLA writes but something about this one just felt a bit off. I feel like the beginning of the story when on too long and the end to short - everything was resolved really quickly - I feel like there should have been more of struggle.
I had love/hate thing going on with Lucifer but I think that’s mainly because the only Lucifer that I can imagine is Tom Ellis so yeah. I would have loved more Roth and Layla. The thing that blew my mind most was the Peanut revelation!!
